Bubur Kacang Hijau

Today is the beginning of my string of Kacang Hijau Projects. Started with Bubur Kacang Ijo (Hijau) then (planning) continue to Onde-onde and many other. I already started some kacang hijau-related food, such as Soto Ayam and some Mihoen dish with tauge and chicken.

Ingredients:

  • 250 gr Kacang Hijau
  • 100 gr Gula Jawa
  • 500 ml Air
  • 150 ml Santan kental
  • Gula pasir
  • 2 lembar Daun Pandan, sobek-sobek.
  • Garam
  • 1 sdm Maizena, larutkan dengan 2 sdm air

Cooking:

  1. Rebus kacang hijau, air, dan gula merah sampai mendidih dan kacang hijau mengembang (empuk). Note: It will took a while to cook them!
  2. Masukkan santan, gula, daun pandan, dan garam lalu aduk kembali hingga mendidih. Aduk sesering mungkin supaya santan tidak ‘pecah’.
  3. Masukkan larutan maizena dam aduk-aduk dengan api kecil hingga mengental.
